School Leadership

Guided by Faith,
Led with Purpose

Assisi Niketan Convent School is led by the Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels (FSMA) — a congregation known for its deep commitment to education, compassion, and inclusive service.

Under the principalship of Sr. M. Gloria FSMA, the school has grown from a community of 58 students to a vibrant, inclusive institution of over 230 students. Her leadership is defined by faith-centred decision-making, unwavering commitment to academic excellence, and a genuine love for every child in her care.

The school management consists of experienced, dedicated religious and administrative leaders who ensure that every aspect of school life — academic, spiritual, and operational — reflects the highest standards.

Congregation

The Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels (FSMA) are a Catholic religious congregation inspired by the example of St. Francis of Assisi. Their mission is rooted in compassion, humility, and selfless service — particularly through education and care for the marginalised.

The FSMA sisters arrived in Dibrugarh on June 7, 2016, and inaugurated this school with a vision to serve the local community — especially children who might otherwise be excluded from quality education. Their presence continues to be the spiritual and moral backbone of Assisi Niketan Convent School.
